Any user can create a Personal Blog from the Create menu and publish posts without needing specific permissions. Social Moderators can be assigned at the main business level (main homepage), allowing them to manage Blog posts. They can delete individual Personal Blog posts, but not the Blog itself. If a moderator removes a post, the Blog author will be notified.
We understand that creating and moderating Blogs may not be suitable for every organisation. If you would like to switch off Personal Blogs, you can request this from the Oak Support Team. Please note: switching off Blogs will remove them for all users.
Community Blogs are managed through permissions. To create one, you must have the Area Manager permission for the relevant area. Once created, the content permissions within that area determine who can create and delete posts. Users outside the area can be added as members of the Community Blog, giving them contribution permissions for that Blog only. To prevent users from creating Community Blogs, revoke their permissions at the main business level (main homepage).
