You'll find the Object Picker throughout your Oak intranet. It allows you to quickly search for and select areas, people, and content.
Before you start:
- The Object Picker respects your permissions. You'll only see the areas and content that you have permission to access.
The object picker explained
The Object Picker opens in a pop-up window whenever you need to select an item in Oak. For example, you might use it to choose a source area for an applet or select a user group when targeting a specific audience.
Depending on the action, the Object Picker will display the relevant options, such as areas within your intranet or users.
Where you'll find the picker:
- Choosing a source area for an applet
- Choosing a new publish area
- Selecting audiences for targeting content
- Adding users to action steps in a Process
- Linking to content from the content editor toolbar
- Finding related content on the publication page
