Once you've created your default holiday plan, you need to apply it so people can start booking time off against it.
You can assign a holiday plan to areas of your structure, system groups, user groups or individual users. Most organisations start by applying the default plan to everyone, then adjust it for any exceptions.
This guide will walk you through applying your default holiday plan.
This guide covers:
Before you start:
- You must already have a default holiday plan set up.
- You need to be assigned the Configuration Manager to manage holiday plans.
Applying the default holiday plan
- Go to the Actions button > Configure, then under Absences select Holiday plans.
- Select Select users or groups. The object picker will open.
- Choose who to apply the plan to. You can choose an area, a system group, a user group or individual users. To apply it to everyone, choose your whole organisation.
- The area, group or user you chose will appear, showing the default company plan for the current year.
- Select the + in the bottom-right corner of the plan year to add the plan to everyone who doesn't already have one.
- The message in the top-right corner will update to show that everyone now has the default holiday plan.
What to do next
Most organisations have some exceptions, such as part-time staff or different entitlements. You can adjust holiday plans for groups or individual users once the default plan is in place.
