Branding themes and scheduled homepages make it easy to refresh your intranet for different seasons, events, and celebrations throughout the year. Adding an animation to your branding theme can make the experience feel even more engaging and memorable.
In this guide, you’ll discover the animations available in Oak branding themes and learn how to set them up.
Before you start:
- You will need to be assigned the System Manager permission to update branding themes
How to add an animation
- Navigate to the Actions button and select Configure > Site Settings.
- Within the Site Settings, find Branding from the left-hand menu.
- Find the theme you would like to add the animation to and click on the three dots to the right. Select Edit.
- Go to the Lighthearted tab along the top of the page. Here you will be able to select your site animation. You can choose from:
- Bats 🦇
- Snow ❄️
- Confetti 🎉
- If Snow has been selected, choose where you would like the animation to show: homepages only or entire site. We recommend selecting homepages only for the best intranet experience.
- Confetti will show only on homepages by default. From the drop-down, select how long it should be be displayed for.
- Bats will show only on homepages by default. From the drop-down, select how long they should be displayed for, and use the slider to decide the colony size (the amount of bats that will appear on the homepage).
- Once you have set up your animation, select Submit in the bottom left corner to save the theme. If the theme is active and you are within the audience, go back to the main homepage to view.
