Default absence types are predefined in Oak and cover the most common reasons for absence. They come with standard settings designed to work for most organisations.
Default absence types are identified by a padlock icon in the Absence Types management area. If they are not suitable for your organisation, they can be changed or turned off. You’ll need the Absences Configuration Manager security role to manage them.
The default absence types are:
Holiday – Vacation, Dependant Care, Emergency
Illness
Medical
Leave – Authorised paid leave, Authorised unpaid leave, Bereavement, Compassionate, Dependant Care, Jury Service, Training
Parental – Adoption, Maternity, Paternity
