New absence types can be created by selecting the 'Absence Type' option from the 'Absence' section in the configuration menu. You will need to have the Absences Configuration Manager security role to access this page.
If you would like to create a new Absence type, simply click the ‘New absence type’ button at the top of the page, which provides a simple interface to create the new absence type and configure its behaviour.
